About Us

Our team is AWESOME! We have people from all walks of life coming together to effect change. We have veterans, educators, professionals from various industries, single parents that understand the struggle, owners of local non-profits, and everybody else that cares to show up and help out. Our volunteers are everyday people with a heart for the cause! 

In 2018 the vision was given that residents of the Urban Core are in need and many of those needs can be met by  unifying the residents to promote the necessary change(s) they want. UCI works to rebuild communities from within, by recruiting Advocates of Care and organizing local partners to share their time, knowledge, skillsets, passions and experiences with the members of these disadvantaged communities.

The mission of UCI is to counter profit led gentrification by revitalizing the Urban Core of Jacksonville FL through partnerships with community stakeholders and residents as a means of increasing home ownership and unifying community investment. 

We link our community residents to auxiliary services which includes: Financial Literacy, Credit Counseling, and Mental Health Services to ensure success as homeowners, and leaders of home and community.
